RESCUE!
Rescue is the heart of what we do at Wulfeden Kennels and Rehabilitation. We provide rescue services through our rescue organization, Jamm Rescue.
Jamm Rescue is a rural rescue group of a few volunteers who care for homeless local animals.
Our pets are in a "jam," hence our name!
Our animals don't come from breeders or other nice family situations. They often are unwanted, dropped off on a local doorstep, owner surrendered or pulled from a shelter that had no space or just didn't think they could be adopted. We do this because we love animals and cannot stand them being mistreated or not have a loving home.
Here at Jamm Rescue we firmly believe that all rescued pets should be spayed or neutered so as not to contribute to the problem of pet overpopulation.
To adopt from Jamm Rescue, you must fill out an adoption agreement as well as agree to spay or neuter your animal (if it's not already completed) within a certain amount of time. You also must agree to schedule and appointment with a vet immediately and provide us with proof that the animal was altered.
Our fee varies based on the age of the animal and placement ease as well as treatments needed or received. All of our animals are current on their vaccinations.
You are welcome to visit our facility by appointment. We quickly respond to all e-mail and phone requests. We are also always open to volunteers joining our rescue mission.
Lodging available for out of state adoptions
We do everything we can to find the best homes for our animals, whether here in Cecil County, MD or in another town. We do not discriminate based on where you live. Our animals generally come to us locally.
If you are traveling from out of state, we can accommodate you with our on-site lodging available for potential adopters interested in visiting our facility and adopting one of our pets. Just ask us for more information, and we will gladly provide you with more details.
